Semissis of Heraclius recovered from the so-called “Asklepieion's hoard B”. On the obverse side of the coin is portrayed the bust of Heraclius turned to the right. He is clad in a chlamys and has a diadem on his head. The legend around the bust reads dNhERACIL YSTPPAV, meaning “Our Lord Heraclius, Perpetuus Augustus”. On the reverse of the coin a cross is depicted standing on a sphere. The cross consists of two intersecting lines both ending in vertical small bars (cross potent) with dots at the ends. The inscription on this side reads VICTORIA AVGY that means “victory of Augustus”, followed by an S.
